1. Acceptance of Terms & Eligibility
Acceptance
By creating an Account, clicking “I Agree”, accessing the Platform, or otherwise using any Service, you represent and warrant that:
- You have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Cookie Policy, and the Fair Usage Policy;
- You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract in your jurisdiction of residence;
- You are at least 18 years of age, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher;
- If you are entering into these Terms on behalf of a legal entity, you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms; and
- Your use of the Platform does not violate any Applicable Law.
Eligibility
The Platform is available to individuals who are at least 18 years of age. Use by minors is strictly prohibited. Eventflutter reserves the right to verify your age and identity at any time and to suspend or terminate accounts that fail verification.
The Platform is currently available primarily in Nigeria, with global access for international users through supported payment channels. Eventflutter does not represent that the Platform is appropriate or lawful for use in all jurisdictions.
Legal Entity Users
If you register as a business entity (including as an Event Creator for non-personal events or as a Vendor with a registered business), you represent that: the entity is duly incorporated and in good standing under applicable law; the individual accepting these Terms is authorised to do so; and the entity's use of the Platform will comply with these Terms and all Applicable Law, including the Nigerian Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA) 2020.
2. Account Registration & Security
Registration Obligations
To access most Platform features, you must create an Account. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration and to keep your Account information updated. You may register using your email address and a password, or through approved OAuth providers (Google, Apple).
Account Security
You are solely responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials, including your password;
- All activities that occur under your Account, whether or not authorized by you;
- Immediately notifying Eventflutter at infosec@eventflutter.com upon becoming aware of any unauthorized use of your Account or any breach of security; and
- Enabling Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), which is strongly recommended for all users and mandatory for Vendors and Venue Owners with active payout accounts.
Eventflutter shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to maintain the security of your Account credentials.
One Account Per User
Each individual or legal entity may maintain one Account. Creating multiple Accounts to circumvent restrictions, suspensions, or Platform limits is a material breach of these Terms and the Fair Usage Policy.
KYC Verification
Event Creators, Vendors and Venue Owners seeking to receive payouts must complete Know Your Customer (KYC) verification before their first payout is processed. KYC requirements for Nigerian users include Bank Verification Number (BVN) and/or National Identification Number (NIN) verification, pursuant to Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) KYC Directives. Providing false or fraudulent KYC information is a criminal offence under the Nigerian Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, Etc.) Act 2015 and may be reported to relevant authorities including the EFCC.
3. Description of Services
Event Discovery & Personalization
A curated event marketplace enabling Attendees to discover, search, filter, and save events. Personalised recommendations powered by onboarding preferences and usage data. Location-based event discovery via Google Maps API.
Ticketing (Paid Events)
End-to-end ticketing infrastructure for Event Creators: ticket type configuration, pricing, capacity management, checkout with 10-minute session lock, QR code generation and delivery, and QR-based check-in scanning. Payment processed via Paystack (Nigeria) or Stripe (international).
RSVP Management (Free Events)
RSVP flow for free events including open and approval-required modes, capacity limits, automatic waitlist management, bulk messaging to RSVPs, guest list export, and QR check-in validation.
Vendor Marketplace
A searchable marketplace for Event Creators to discover, browse, evaluate (via portfolio, pricing, ratings, and availability, contract management), and book Vendors across categories including photography, catering, DJ, decoration, entertainment, and more.
